POSITION: Medical Information Associate a/k/a Drug Informatics Associate
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: DI Residency Required
PHARMACY SCHOOL: Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
RESIDENCY: Managed Care Pharmacy Practice Residency at Kaiser Permanente
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: This position is a combination of 2 positions- Drug Information and Drug
Informatics. I will separate the responsibilities accordingly.
Drug Information-
• Answer DI questions from staff members
• Precept pharmacy students and residents
• Monitor adverse drug reactions
• Develop and present drug monographs for all medications at the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T)
meeting.
• Write minutes for the P&T meeting and communicate all formulary changes to staff
• Coordinate pharmaceutical company presentations
Drug Informatics-
• Ensure the accuracy of all medication related information in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Triage/resolve all problems related to medications in the EHR
• Assist in coordination of EHR orientation training for new employees
